Dealers cheer ATMA’s ₹1,100-cr package to boost rubber farming in N-E

The Indian Rubber Dealers Federation has hailed the initiative of Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) to invest ₹1,100 crore over a period of five years for the promotion of rubber cultivation in North-Eastern states.

The Federation urged the tyre industry body to consider Southern states as well in the package mooted through Rubber Board as these traditional growing areas could play a qualitative role to reverse the sullen mood in the plantation sector.

Mother Dairy’s revenue grew by 9% in FY19-20

Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd widened its losses to ₹157.70 crore in the financial year 2019-20 from ₹91.83 crore in the previous financial year due to increase in raw milk procurement prices. Despite the pandemic disruptions, the company expects to post a “healthy bottomline” in FY20-21.

According to its latest RoC filing, sourced from business intelligence platform Tofler, total revenues grew by 9.4 per cent to ₹10,447.13 crore in FY 2019-20 from ₹9,548.42 crore in FY 2018-19.

Govt procures 521.5 lakh tonnes of paddy so far at MSP, costing ₹98,457 cr

The Centre has procured 521.48 lakh tonnes of paddy so far during this kharif marketing season from nearly 68 lakh farmers at MSP costing ₹ 98,457 crore, amid the ongoing protest by farmers at various Delhi borders seeking repeal of three new farm laws and legal guarantee of MSP.

“In the ongoing kharif marketing season (KMS) 2020-21, the government continues to procure kharif 2020-21 crops at MSP from farmers as per existing MSP schemes,” according to an official statement.
