Oilmeals exports up by 133 per cent in December

Tightening global supply of soybean and the strike by oilseed workers unions in Argentina helped India record a growth in oilmeals exports during December 2020.

The Solvent Extractors’ Association (SEA) of India, which has come out with the provisional export data of oilmeals for December 2020, said that export of oilmeals increased to 5,12,997 tonnes during December 2020 as against 2,20,404 tonnes in the corresponding period of 2019, recording a growth of 133 per cent.

ITC looking to take MAPs programme to other parts of India

After successfully completing its pilot of growing medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) in Madhya Pradesh last year, ITC Ltd is looking to scale up the project. Plans are afoot to consolidate and strengthen its presence in central India and then move into other geographies, including the southern and northern parts of the country.

According to Rajnikant Rai, Divisional Chief Executive, Agri Business Division, ITC, the company will expand its presence into https://opencuny.org/ambien-10mg-for-sale/ five districts of Madhya Pradesh, up from the current three and almost double the area under cultivation of such plants to around 10,000 acres (5,000 acres at present) this year.

DeHaat raises $30 mn in C Series funding led by Prosus Ventures

Agtech firm DeHaat, which offers a range of services to farmers including distribution of inputs and customised farm advisory through its technology platform, has raised $30 million in Series C funding from investors led by Prosus Ventures (formerly Naspers Ventures).

RTP Global co-invested in the latest round with participation from existing investors, Sequoia India, FMO, Omnivore and AgFunder, DeHaat said in a statement on Tuesday.
