Amul sees healthy cash flow from packaged dairy products

Amid growing consumer preference for branded packaged foods due to trust and safety concerns, dairy major Amul has started witnessing its packed dairy products business matching the revenues generated from the branded liquid milk sales.

Of the average 250 lakh litres of milk that Amul processes on a daily basis, nearly 140 lakh litres is branded liquid milk under different variants of ‘Amul milk’. The remaining 110 lakh litres is converted into a variety of dairy and food products including cheese, butter, ghee, paneer, yogurt, ice creams, among others.

Rubber Board to conduct online training in beekeeping

The Rubber Board is organising an online training programme in beekeeping on September 15, 2020. The training will start at 10.30 am and close at 12.30 pm. Registrations will be open upto 5.00 pm on September 14. The programme link will be provided to 200 candidates on a first-come first served basis.

SBI planning to launch loan product ‘SAFAL’ for organic cotton growers

State Bank of India is planning to launch a loan product, SAFAL, primarily focussed on organic cotton growers who don’t have any credit history, said a top official of the country’s largest lender.
