• Launched: 11 October 2014
• launched by Prime Minister
• Main Objective: Provide insurance cover to rabi and kharif crops and financial support to farmers in

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sinchai Yojana (PMGSY){Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare}

• Launched: 01 July 2015
• Main Objective: Irrigating the field of every farmer and improving water use efficiency to provide `Per
Drop More Crop’.
• Headed by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Soil Health Card Scheme
• Launched: 17 February 2015
• Main Objective: To help farmers to improve productivity from their farms by letting them know about
nutrient/fertilizer requirements for their farms.
• Swasth Dharaa. Khet Haraa (Healthy Earth, Green Farm)
Launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Rashtriya Gokul Mission(Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare)

• Launched: 16 December 2014
• Main Objective: To conserve and develop indigenous bovine breeds.
• Outlay – Rs 500 crore
• Launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

• Outlay – Rs.50,000 crores

Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan(Ministry of Panchayati Raj)

• Main Objective: To help Panchayat Raj Institutions deliver Sustainable Development Goals.
• It is a new proposed scheme announced in the union financial budget 2016-17 by the Finance Minister
Mr. Arun Jaitley.
• Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan has been proposed with allocation of Rs. 655 crore.

• PM Kisan SAMPADA Yojana is a comprehensive package which will result in creation of modern
infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm gate to retail outlet.
• Financial allocation – Rs. 6,000 crore.
