1. Temperate fruit zone.
2. North West sub – tropical fruit zone.
3. North East sub – tropical fruit zone.
4. Central Tropical fruit zone.
5. South tropical fruit zone.
6. Coastal tropical fruit zone.

1. Temperate Fruit Zone:(Climatic Zones Of India)

a) States:
Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Hilly area of North Punjab, Nepal, Butan, Hilly area of Assam.

b) Fruits and Vegetables Grown:
Apple, Peach, Pear, Plum, Cherry, Apricot, Almond, Strawberry, Raisin grapes, etc. Cabbage, Cauliflower, Potato, Roses etc.

c) Height from Sea level:

1200 to 2500 meters. Average temperature 4 to 100C.

2. North West Sub – tropical Zone:(Climatic Zones Of India)

a) Sates:

Rajasthan, S. Punjab, Hariayana, delhi, North M.P. and some part of Uttar Pradesh.

b) Fruits and Vegetable Grown:

Santra, Mosambi, Litchi, Phalsa, dates, Fig. Grapes, Guava, Mango, Pomogranate, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Tomato, Peas Radish, Carrot, Potato, Aster, Rose. etc. There is typical climate in this zone with moderate winters dry and hot summer less rains.

3. North East Sub – tropical Fruit Zones:(Climatic Zones Of India)

a) States:

Bihar, North part of West Bengal, Assam, East part of Uttar Pradesh.

b) Fruits and Vegetable Grown :

Banana, Santra, Mosambi, Mango, Grapes, Arnonecot fruits, Jambul, Chiku, Papaya, Ber, Guava, Jack fruits, Tomato, Brinjal, Roses, Radish, Carrot etc.

4. Central Tropical Fruit Zone:(Climatic Zones Of India)

a) States:

Southern part of M.P., Maharashtra (without sea coast), North A.P., Orissa. Southern part of West Bengal, Gujarat.

b) Fruits and Vegetable Grown:
Banana, Santra, Mosambi, Mango, Grapes, Arnoneccous fruits, Chiku, Papaya, Ber, Guava, Jack fruits, Tomato, Brinjal, Bhendi, Gourds, Melons, Cabbage, Cauli – flower, Roses, aster, Chrysanthemum etc.

5. South Tropical Fruit Zone:(Climatic Zones Of India)

a) States:

Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra (without sea coast).

b) Fruits and Vegetable:

Banana, Citrus, Mango, Grapes, Avocado, Sapota, Papaya, Aracanut, Jack fruit.

6. Coastal Tropical Fruit Zone:(Climatic Zones Of India)

a) States:

Kerala, Goa, Daman, Div., Tripura, Coastal area of M.S., A.P., Wet Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Orissa etc.

b) Fruits and Vegetables:

Coconut, Aracanut, Pineapple, Jackfruit, Coccum, Cashewnunt, Spice crops, Gourds, Pumpkins etc.
